Contract Language / Boilerplate

Hello all.

I have just been certified to start doing HERS ratings, and was looking for suggestions or resources for contract language / boilerplate that I should use in my contract with builders. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

  • Let me start off by stating you really need to consult a lawyer as each state has it's own quirks and specific items that might need to be included. Generally though you need to say what you are delivering & don't do, regular/retest fees, payment terms, expectations... You might want to reference that they have received the RESNET Disclosure form. I am a firm believer in keeping things as short as possible
